Rexite is a Milanese company founded in 1968 that initially worked for third parties in the field of precision mechanics. Later, starting in 1977, the two founders Rino Pirovano and Rino Boschet began a collaboration with the architects Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianello, creating a reality oriented towards the design and furnishing accessories sector. After a few years Raul Barbieri himself becomes artistic director and calls upon great Italian and foreign designers to design: Giotto Stoppino, Julian Brown, Kuno Prey, the couple Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, Enzo Mari and Bruno Munari.
From 2021 Rexite, while continuing to maintain its identity, becomes part of the Mezzalira Investment Group (MIG), a furniture hub together with Rotaliana for Sinetica lighting and Mascagni for office furniture and Sitland for office seating and contract.
The Rexite collection today includes seating, modular systems, coat hangers, baskets and containers for separate waste collection, as well as watches, office accessories and desk sets.
